On behalf of NEP Singapore we managed the Setup and the optimal configuration of the EVS system for the transmission of the UFC Fight Night from the Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand for the end customer ESPN + from the U.S.A ..
The EVS system consisted of 5x XT4k servers, 3x XFile3 backup/streaming systems and corresponding peripherals, consisting of the XHub3 SDTI hub and 1GigE / 10GigE Cisco network components.
Four of the five XT4k servers were traditionally used as Highlight and Slomo servers, the fifth server was controlled by a Lance controller in Spotbox mode directly from the image mixer with 6 outputs, to playback teasers, bumpers, opener, closer etc…
The XFile3 systems were used for the continuous streaming of the 16 cameras in the production format Avid DNxHD 145, as well as for the restoration of pre-production material to the highlight servers.
The handover to the ESPN + production crew was carried out by our local staff, who took over the position of the EVS Guarantee during the live broadcast.
